Homemade Granola

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of oats

  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (almond, pecans or walnuts)

  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

  • 2 tablespoon of honey

  • 2 tablespoon of canola oil or coconut oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

  • Dash of cinnamon (optional)

  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut flakes (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300ºF.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix well and toss.

  3. Spread the mixture in a thin layer on a baking sheet lined with paper parchment and bake for 10 minutes until lightly toasted.

  4. Cool and store in a large zip lock bag or airtight container. Add to Greek yogurt or eat a handful between meals as a snack!
